Hey crafters!
I am so excited to participate in the Lawn Fawnatics challenge blog hosted by Lawn Fawn! This is my first time entering the challenge and I had so much fun with it!
Twice a month they give crafters a theme, and you have to create that theme in a card or other project using their products. Their current theme is Fairy Tale Magic.
My card features the princess fairy mouse from their Halloween Mice stamp set, and their Build-A-Drink Bubble Tea die set!
I started by stamping my fairy princess on white paper using black ink, then I colored her using alcohol markers. I ran her through the die cutter and set her aside.
Next, I die cut my bubble tea cup outline with white paper, the cup background in iridescent vellum, the tea in pink glitter paper, and the straw in a striped purple paper. I glued all the tea pieces together and set it aside.
I cut some paper from their Gleeful Gradients collection down to 4.25″ x 5.5″ to use as my card panel, then I die cut and glued a stitched frame around it using the same glitter paper I used for the tea.
Using their Reverse Stitched Scalloped Circle Window dies, I cut a hole into my card panel, and glued a small square of the pink glitter paper behind it as a background. This serves as the magic bubble the fairy princess is floating in.
Next, I glued the fairy princess inside of her bubble, and the tea on the card panel. I used foam tape to pop up the tea for dimension.
Using sentiments from Halloween Mice, Hocus Purr-cus and Year Fifteen stamp sets, I stamped “Wishing you a magical Halloween, best-tea!” on the panel with pink ink. Then I stamped the star and sparkle stamp pieces from Halloween Mice onto the card panel in the same pink ink.
To finish, I glued my card panel onto a white A2 card base, and it was complete!
I had so much fun making this card! I love adding a little sparkle to my cards, and it was just too easy to add lots of it to a fairy-tale themed card! This was a great opportunity to use so many of my favorite Lawn Fawn stamp and die sets. I’m looking forward to participating in more blog challenges!
