It Is Your Birthday…Card (Kindred Stamps)

Hey crafters! I’m so happy to be blogging again after the chaotic month of September. My husband worked a lot of overtime so I had to be the primary parent for our son for most of the month, which means I had little time for my usual hobbies. BUT he is back on his normal work schedule, so I’m back to writing again!

I made this birthday card using the Saviors stamp set from Kindred Stamps. My husband and I saw Project Hail Mary earlier this year when it was in theaters, and I absolutely loved it! I adore Rocky, and I saw a lot of myself in Grace, and watching him overcome so many obstacles including his own fear and anxieties was such an encouragement to me. When I saw that Kindred Stamps had this set, I couldn’t buy it fast enough!

I started making the card by stamping and coloring Rocky and Grace. I used my Hero Arts Intense Black stamping ink and my OLO Alcohol pens for coloring and shading. For the green spots on Rocky’s body, I added some Wink of Stella glitter to them to make them shine like we see in the movie. Then I fussy cut the two of them with scissors, and set them aside.

Using my paper trimmer, I cut one piece of black cardstock to 4.25″ x 5.5″, and then I cut some black glitter cardstock down to the same size. I die-cut two scalloped circles into my glitter paper, then added foam tape to the back and adhered it on top of my black cardstock to make my card panel.

Next, I glued Grace and Rocky each to their own scalloped hole. Using my black ink again, I stamped the IT IS YOUR BIRTHDAY, FIST MY BUMP sentiment to some white cardstock, then cut both sentiments down to strips, and added them to the card with some double-sided tape.

I added glue to the back of the card panel, and placed it on a white card base.

To finish, I stamped the WHY OLD. QUESTION? on the inside of the card.

I think this might be my favorite birthday card I’ve made in 2026 so far! Let me know in the comments what you think!

It feels so good to be back to a normal schedule again. I can’t wait to share more cards with you all! And what perfect timing, I hear my toddler waking up from his nap as I finish this post!

Thank you all so much for reading! Please like and share!

Hope your day is amaze amaze amaze!
