Hello and Happy Summer!
Today I’m sharing a fun and fruity card I made using Lawn Fawn’s Lemon Vine Border dies from their Summer 2026 release.
I started by cutting out the vines using green cardstock. Then I inked the edges of the leaves using the color Spruce by Catherine Pooler.
Next, using yellow paper, I cut out my lemons. Then I inked the edges using the Scattered Straw Distress Oxide ink.
Using the same yellow paper, I cut out the center of my lemon blossoms, then I used white paper to cut out the actual blossoms.
Using Henry’s ABC’s dies from Lawn Fawn, I cut out the letters to spell “Sweet” in the same yellow paper I used for the lemons. Once those were cut out, I inked the bottoms of each letter in the Scattered Straw oxide ink.
For the rest of my sentiment, I used the “Have a sweet” and “birthday” stamps from the Make Lemonade add-on stamps by Lawn Fawn. I stamped them onto white paper using the color Spruce from Catherine Pooler.
I cut the sentiments down to small strips, and I made sure to cut off the “sweet” portion since I already made that word in a previous step.
Once I had all my pieces cut, inked and stamped, I assembled the lemons and the blossoms onto the vine. Once my vine was put together, I added it to the top of my blue striped card panel measuring 4″ x 5.25″. I cut off the parts of the lemon vine that were hanging off the card and set them aside.
Next I arranged my big letters to spell the word “sweet”. Using washi tape, I taped across the whole word so I could pick it up in one piece. Flipping the taped letters over, I arranged the leftover pieces of the lemon vine to decorate them, then I added glue to the back of the letters and carefully placed them onto the center of my card panel.
I added the “Have a” and “Birthday” onto the card, tucking some leftover lemons behind them.
Once everything was glued down, I added foam tape to the back of my panel, then adhered it to my A2 sized yellow panel. I added the whole piece to my white card base.
The last little detail I added was some Wink of Stella to the “Sweet” letters for a little shimmer and shine!
And there you have it! A cute, summery birthday card!
I absolutely adore this summer release from Lawn Fawn! I am a lemon girlie…I love incorporating lemon decor into my kitchen, I love lemon desserts, lemon anything! This collection was just what I needed in my life!
